Strangers are not welcome in backyards, which are private domains. The backyard is where families hold barbecues, build swimming pools and have private parties. Where the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway has been built adjacent to people's backyards, an inherent conflict exists. Understandably people do not want strangers in or even near their backyards. |
