THE NEW YORK TIMES, FEBRUARY 22, 1998 The Hudson Riverfront Should Be Green, Not GoldTo the Editor: As a lifelong resident of northern Hudson County, I am appalled at the thought of an additional 7,700 planned residential units on the Hudson County's Gold Coast north of the Lincoln Tunnel ("On the Waterfront," Feb. 15) Local roads like River Road, Boulevard East, Woodcliff Avenue and Bull's Ferry Road are already choked with traffic, especially during rush hour. The traffic, noise and pollution are becoming unbearable. As far as I'm concerned, most of the waterfront should have been declared Green Acres years ago.
