The Fund for a Better Waterfront

THE HOBOKEN REPORTER, OCTOBER 4, 1998

The Walls are Closing In

Dear Editor:

What happened to all the talk about the quality of life improving in Hoboken? As far as I can see and smell, the roads are jammed with cars, the sewers are antiquated, it is nearly impossible to find a parking space and there is no major supermarket for the 35,000 plus residents. And now another developer wants to build two 23-story towers. Please, go away all you developers and leave our one square mile city alone and then maybe we can restore the quality of life here.
